Goonvean
ACRYLIC
FIBRE
Rigid Thermoplastic Material
Acrylic offers extremely high performance and versatility, making it suitable for manufacturing products in almost every industry. The fibres are thermally stable and can operate in high-temperature applications.
It’s 100 per cent a synthetic material.
The high rigidity, melting point, and resistance against chemicals and solvents mean that acrylic can be coloured, cut, drilled, formed, and moulded to specific requirements. We also manufacture Milled Acrylic Fibres (Flock) to improve the properties of industrial products.
Quality matters, so at Goonvean Fibres, we’ve added further value to our acrylic fibres, including zero fusion, unrivalled flow characteristics, shorter cut lengths, and lower overall customer production costs.
Standard Fibre Details
Acrylic is suitable for manufacturers who are looking to improve their end products. The fibres are excellent for bettering performance, are rigid and impermeable to gas, have high resistance, and act as a moisture buffer.
Technical Fibre Details
Acrylic, like all plastics, are polymers made up of a chain of molecules and contain one or more derivatives of acrylic acid. Specifically, acrylic is made from the polymer Polyacrylonitrile. The synthetic fibres contain at least 85 per cent by weight of the monomer acrylonitrile and are well known for their intumescent properties and as the chemical precursor of high-quality carbon fibres.
